Reading Notes: The Monkey King - Reading B

Hello all! We are diving into the second part of the Monkey King so let's get to it.

So the monkey king took a job as a stablemaster in heaven. Seems like a step down from King on earth. So what's his motivation here?

So he didn't know that stable hand was a low position.

The great saint who is heavens equal. I like that.

The Monkey King is making trouble everywhere he goes. It seems he is finally understanding the consequences of his actions with that bit of self reflection but he is done so much already...

I really enjoyed reading the Monkey King. I knew his luck was going to run out, and sure enough it did. It took none other than Buddha to finally subdue him, but it happened.

It's cool because we actually saw a lot of character progression in the Monkey King. He started humble, and ended arrogant which is what power can do to you. I really enjoyed these stories.
