Extra Credit Reading Notes

So only Arthur was able to pull the sword out of the stone. I don't think it mentioned how old he was. They called him a boy, but that could range from 10-18 really. I also didn't realize that Arthur was an orphan, so to speak.

So Arthur is having some bad dreams and went to hunt with his knights. He chased after a certain creature but it got away and his horse LITERALLY DIED while he was riding it. Kind of morbid, don't you think.....?

Arthur seems like a pretty gracious King, giving people whatever they want on HIS wedding day.

The next story is called the passing of merlin :(

Damn Merlin... Killed by the very woman you loved. Same....

Man! Arthur's sister is AFTER him! She's sending capes that will burn the wearer to ashes. That's harsh. And brutal.

That sucks. The knights of the round table pretty much ruined the kingdom because they wanted to give their king the holy grail.

They really want this grail for Arthur. The story with the squire having the dream was really weird. He had a dream that he was stabbed and then woke up with a stab wound. Spoke to Arthur about his dream, and then when Arthur pulled out the knife, he died? Like, that was a lot.

Arthur really loves his knights of the round table! You can tell just by reading.

Okay. So Gallahad was given a shield, that when a man wears it, ill befalls them and they die. That's kind of what I got from it. So WHY TAKE IT GALLAHAD? You don't make any sense...

Okay. Percivale got to sleep with a lion. That is freaking cool.

The second set of stories are the adventures of the knights of the round table, rather then about Arthur himself. It seems that each knight is extremely sorrowful at some point. Like, they get really sad. That's not really something yous see in literature a lot.

Poor Lancelot. He dead.
